- *A highly dependable training center established through collective collaborations.
- *The sole and unique power piping training facility in the country.
KLES Academy Establishment Background
Piping-related accidents have been on the steep rise as the pipelines of power plants and heavy chemical plants continue to age in the course of long-term operations. In addition, natural disasters such as earthquakes have been breaking out more frequently in recent years. Now, it is the time for specialized, systematic education & training to be introduced to help personnel operate and maintain the piping systems in the field in a more practical and proactive manner, rather than reactively as in the past.
In an effort to make the most of 3DDMS and Sling Rod systems, nominated the 'Selected Item for Development’ by big-five power companies, KLES came forward to open up this training center so that the participants can be educated about the principal theories and their applications, taking advantage of simulation facilities intended to replicate actual on-site working environments.
Through collaborative training courses, both theoretical and practical, practitioners can learn and improve their abilities and skills required to operate and manage power piping systems and equipment.
Training Course Objectives
“Piping Professionals Training Course”, launched in October 2011, has successfully turned out more than 500 piping professionals from more than 20 companies so far.
The program aims to train professional practitioners to grasp the basic design concepts of pipes and pipe supporting devices, together with their inspection & analysis methods, as well as the principles of piping 3D spatial movement, thereby upscaling the level of job competencies of the piping workforces concerned.
In addition, catching the ever-changing wave of the times, the Academy recognizes the need for more in-depth education and takes steps to introduce new curriculums such as KEPIC MGE, vibration basics for facility system conservation, valve and steam systems, and more.
Trainees can soak up that essential knowledge necessary for practical application through systematic curriculums, sophisticatedly orchestrated by prestigious gurus boasting vast professional expertise in their respective domains. A variety of practical cases in point can be applied to piping system management in a fashion best fitted to their own plants.

Specialized technology-directed training courses pitched at working-level managers.

Hands-on training courses making use of lifelike virtual simulators replicated on-site, as if at the power plant environments.

An interactive academic platform, working out collaborative problem-tracking protocols from multi-angle perspectives, through a get-together of numerous power plant mates.

Simulation Programs
These are training programs that improve the management skills of practitioners through integrated courses that help them grasp the concepts and principles and apply them, making practical use of field-like simulation equipment and environments in the simulator facilities.

This is a system that simulates the movement and behavior of piping and pipe supporting devices installed in a power plant. Practical exercises are conducted to analyze the causes of problems occurring in the actual plant piping and to hammer out countermeasures.

Replicating the actual system installed at the top of a boiler to support and balance its overall load, this demonstration facility is designed for hands-on learning. It helps trainees easily grasp the concepts of sling rods and boiler support devices while mastering the mechanics of boilers and piping through practical load-balancing exercises.
