KOMIPO Hosts Forum to Boost Overseas Expansion in Singapore
KOMIPO (Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd.) held a forum on May 29 at its KOMIPO Global office in Singapore to explore ways to ramp up the overseas expansion of Korean SMEs. The event was attended by the Secretary-General of the Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large & Small Business, Rural Affairs, and representatives from partner companies.
KOMIPO announced on the 31st that it hosted a forum at its KOMIPO Global office in Singapore on the 29th. The event aimed to explore strategies for facilitating the overseas expansion of Korean SMEs.
Established in 2007 in Singapore, KOMIPO Global is a subsidiary of Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd., responsible for investment management, close support for KOMIPO business sites in Asia, such as Indonesia and Vietnam, and the development and promotion of new projects.
Tak So-young, the head of the Malaysian branch of KLES Inc., the chairman company of the KOMIPO "Export Partners Association," attended the meeting as a representative of the partner companies. According to KOMIPO, Tak candidly shared experiences and challenges faced while conducting overseas business.
Tak stated, "While there are many new opportunities and potentials discovered when conducting business abroad, it is challenging for SMEs to commercialize ideas solely on their own. We are grateful for the robust support from KOMIPO and the foundation, and we look forward to more detailed assistance, such as financial support and help with obtaining permits and certifications."
