To celebrate the holiday season and summer break, a water play zone was set up for kids to enjoy.
Vāyu is pronounced [바유:] in the local dialect of Daejeon and Chungcheong Province, which conveys a sense of friendliness. The name originates from the ancient Indian mythology figure, the "God of Wind."
It was named with the meaning of "rushing to wherever needed, like the wind!"
The market was started up to provide a stepping stone for anyone striving for economic independence and the realization of their dreams through offline sales.
The Vāyu Market is a very market place that aims to grow together with small business owners, local designers, women returning to the workforce, and young people starting anew, contributing to the economic development of Daejeon and the Chungcheong region.
