On Wed., Feb. 25 at 10:30 a.m., KLES hosted an in-house lecture in the main conference room on the second floor.
For this session, author Na Gyeo-ul was invited to speak on the theme of “Healing Yourself Through Reading and Writing.”
Given the nature of the power generation industry, KLES employees frequently head out on long-term business trips and take on demanding on-site assignments. As they stay focused on their responsibilities, physical and mental fatigue can easily build up.
That’s why this lecture was set up—to give everyone a moment to slow down, catch their breath, and look back on themselves.
The talk kicked off by drawing a distinction between “emotions (gamjeong)” and “moods (kiboon).” Rather than brushing off a vague sense of exhaustion, the speaker emphasized the importance of putting one’s feelings into specific words. The moment we write our emotions down and look at them from a distance, we no longer get carried away by them—we begin to take charge of them.
This lecture was more than just a talk; it offered a quiet opportunity for each participant to look inward and check in with their own heart.
KLES will continue to roll out diverse programs that back up the mental well-being and growth of its mates, building up a healthy and supportive organizational culture.
